Dallas Holliday is one of the newest members of the SCENE MGMT family. It’s only right we take a deep dive into who he is as a person and as an athlete.
For Dallas Holliday, the game of football isn’t just a sport, it’s a family tradition. Growing up with two older brothers who also played the game, Holliday’s life was shaped by being around football.
Growing up in a family deeply rooted in football, Dallas’ aspirations were always set high. His oldest brother received a scholarship to play football at Duke University, which ultimately inspired Dallas to try and do the same.
Through the culmination of years of hard work and dedication, Dallas was able to land a scholarship himself, committing to play D1 football at Boise State University.
At Boise, Holliday was part of a competitive environment. He got to play in big games, under the lights, and experience the pressure that comes with competing at the highest level.
Dallas explained to me that Boise provided him with invaluable experience, stating “They taught me what it’s like to be truly disciplined, and how to stay consistent with what you do both on and off the field.”
While he played a supporting role in Boise State’s offensive success, the depth at his position made it harder to secure consistent starting time. Instead of deciding to transfer right away, he instead opted to stick it out with his teammates and seek new opportunities as a graduate transfer.
Dallas knew he needed a fresh start, somewhere he could continue developing while finding a better fit for his playing style and personal growth.
After spending five years at Boise State and most importantly, earning his degree, Holliday decided to transfer to Portland State University.
Holliday brought with him a wealth of experience and a chance to make an immediate impact on the Portland State program.
At Portland State, Holliday’s game began to truly flourish. He explained how PSU made the game fun for him again. They allowed Dallas to play more free and that in turn helped improve his game.
With a college career filled with ups and downs, whether it was a tough loss or personal challenge Dallas learned how to deal with adversity.
This upcoming season Dallas will be showcasing his talents with the Bay Area Panthers of the IFL. His combination of speed, vision, and determination will undoubtedly make him a key player in the trenches for the Panthers this year.
Dallas’ passion for football is truly only matched by his dedication to giving back to the community.
As part of his ongoing commitment to making a positive impact in his community, Holliday recently hosted his first annual toy drive, bringing holiday cheer to local families in Pasadena, California.
Dallas has goals of playing in the NFL, CFL, or USFL. Remember the name folks.
Dallas truly embodies what it means to be part of the SCENE MGMT family and we wish him nothing but the best on his football journey.
